Telstra Rally Australia September 4 to 7 th
we packed up our bags and headed for the other side of this continent to watch cars this year. it was a lot of disorganised fun!
Recomendations if you want to go 1) Stay at the kingstone on Hay, not to expensive or shabby either, and half of the drivers stay in or a stones throw away from this hotel. 2) Bring wet wheather gear, even if you use it once it is good. 3) DO NOT trust the maps they provide, they will send you on a wild goose chase which is fun and all, but we had places to be. Bring/Buy a very detailed map of the countryside or better still be a local. 4) Dont do burnouts on those dirt roads to the rallies, this will be very hard to explain to the car hire company as you arent ment to take those cars onto dirt anyway. I do realise that it is hard not to pretend you are a rally driver, but at least wait untill you are on sealed roads. 5) Take 100's of photos, because only one in a film is going to be anygood.
I almost cried when i found out ralliart no longer had a team!!!! Traveled all that way to buy some offical merchandise and they didnt have any! So we decided to create our own official merchandice......
