The Writing Process

 

STEP 1:  Brainstorm Ideas (list ideas)

 

 

 

STEP 2: Web

NOTE: Use the web to organize your ideas in paragraphs. Each new topic should have a bubble. Include details with bullets using phrases or one word...not complete sentences. Your introduction paragraph and concluding paragraphs do not have to be on the web.

 

 

STEP 3:  Paragraph Templates (Write your paragraphs based on your webs)

NOTE: Each bubble becomes one paragraph.

 

 

 

STEP 4:  Type each paragraph on your computer. DO NOT CORRECT, YET!!!

 

              Double Space and use fontsize 16

 

To double space:  Format   Paragraph            Line Spacing  Double

 

NOTE: Do not forget to skip a line and indent when you begin a new paragraph.

 

STEP 5:  Print paper and revise and edit with a red pen (COPS)

 

NOTE: Read each sentences aloud while touching every word when editing.
