Chapter 15

It was raining outside and it was dark. Jake hurried with Michael in his arms around the corner of the restaurant where they wouldn't be seen. Jake sat Michael down under a small balcony that was blocking the rain. Lisa, LaTasha, and Jenny watched as Jake took Michael's cell phone and called Michael's driver. Jake's wet shirt clung to his built body, like a supermodel.

"Yeah, this is Jake, Michael's friend. We need you to drive around to the back of the restaurant...yes, the back..."

Lisa was shivering. Shivering because of fear and because of the cold wet rain. She moved over to the other side of Jake and kneeled down next to him. She gazed at Michael. Lisa felt as if her stomach were twisting and turning. Michael was so motionless. Rain water covered his pale white skin. Lisa gently removed the wet strains of hair from his face.

"Okay, the driver is on his way." Jake said.

"Is he," Lisa started. "Is he alive?"

Jake nodded. "But I don't know if he has enough blood to survive for long." Lisa nodded resignedly.

"The good news is, The Master and Richard thinks he's dead." he grinned. Lisa grinned too, just so that she won't brake into tears.

"Hey guys. The limo's here." LaTasha said.

Jake picked Michael up again. They ran into the limo.

"What the hell happened??" The driver asked.

"Michael fainted. Umm...it was pretty crowded in there." Jake explained.

The driver said nothing. Lisa didn't think that he believed him.

"So, you want me to go to the hospital?"

"Yes, please." Jake said.

Michael's head rested on Lisa's lap. She couldn't believe that she did this. She couldn't believe her hunger was so strong. As she stroked Michael's hair, his eyes began to open.

Lisa smiled. "Hey Michael." she said gently, She was surprised he wasn't scared of her.

"You are one powerful vampire," Michael whispered. He smiled.

Lisa smiled too. But that smile quickly disappeared.

"I'm so sorry,"

"You don't have to be." he said. He gazed straight into Lisa's eyes. That intensity in his eyes hit Lisa hard. This sensation lasted a few moments until his eyes closed once again.

Lisa took a deep breath. She needed to do something and Michael wanted her to. He told her to. She was aware that she was put into Michael's spell, but now she knew deep inside she needed to do this.

"Driver, don't go to the hospital. Just go home. Go to Neverland."
