Lisa walked in the bedroom door breathless.
"Michael, I chased you all the way down here."
"Is there anything else you want to tell me?" Michael asked softly. He looked out the window. He was more attracted to the beauty of The Night than ever.
"Michael, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to be trapped in the middle of all this."
Michael nodded. "It's okay."
He continued to look out the window. Lisa sighed. She knew both of them couldn't go on like this. Lisa and Michael loved each other but they couldn't have one night to themselves without someone trying to kill them. Maybe it'll work this time. She licked her lips and walked up to Michael. She put her arms around Michael's waist. She kissed the side of his neck. Michael took a deep breath. Lisa could hear his heartbeat speed up and the blood running swiftly through his veins. Her hunger grew.
Lisa, control yourself. She bit her bottom lip.
Michael turned around and passionately kissed her on the lips. He stroked her hair with his hand and looked into her eyes. Lisa took in a short gasp. Michael's eyes were even more haunting than before.
"Are you..." Lisa whispered. She paused and looked at the floor. "Are you doing something to me?"
With two fingers, Michael lifted her chin up so that she was looking into his eyes again. Michael kissed her again. Swallowing hard, Lisa bit her tongue and tasted her blood. Her craving was becoming hard to control and Michael wasn't helping the case any.
"Michael, I've got to go." Lisa broke away from his hold and went towards the door. She looked back at Michael. He had a blank look on his face. His eyes seemed to glow right through her and she could hear his heart beat from across the room. She was suspended for a second.
Michael nodded. "Go ahead. Leave."
Lisa paused. "I'll be over Jake's."
Michael nodded and turned to gaze out the window.
Closing the door behind her, Lisa whispered, " What was that???"
