"Come on! Come on! Let's take! A long walk! Around the park! After dark!" Paris paced around her bedroom with headphones on, singing.
Suddenly Prince comes into her room and throws himself on her bed. Paris rolled her eyes and cut off the music. Flinging her long brown hair over her shoulder she turned to him and found that he was crying. She sat on the bed.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Prince took a deep breath and sat up. He whipped his tears. "Janet and Jermaine are thinking about selling Neverland."
Paris's eyes widened. "No, they can't do that!"
Prince's round eyes gazed downward. "But that's not what's bothering me."
"what is it?"
Prince pulled out an issue of National ENquirer. THe headline read, "Wacko Jacko's Fate" .
Paris took the tabloid. "Yeah, people write about him all the time."
"REad it." Prince said.
Paris did so. It was an artical about the 1993 child molestation trail their father went through. They listed all the reasons why Michael was guilty and if Michael hadn't died this so called "fact" would have been proven. Fans would have been so anguished that he would have been murdered. Michael knew this so out of guilt he killed himself.
Paris blinked her tears away. "This is crap. I can't believe they still can't leave him alone."
"THis has to stop." Prince said softly. "I'm tired of this. I'm tired of the Wacko Jacko names. Aren't you? Our dad didn't deserve all this! Isn't there a way to stop them?"
"Yeah I'm tired of it. but...there isn't much we can do. I mean, dad was really famous and that is just what comes with fame."
Prince shook his head and tears came back. "I don't buy that." He ran his hand through his short blond hair. "I just don't. I don't remember much from him, but he did say that he wanted to be remembered for his art right? Not his nose jobs."
"Yes. That's true. But again, what can we do?"
Prince took a deep breath and faced Paris. "i've been listening to some of his music lately. Invincible."
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well I made some discoveries. In the lyrics. The whole album seems like....a map."
Paris gave him a look. "Huh??"
"IN the lyrics, the songs, it tells directions....hidden in the lyrics...directed to us. I think when he was alive he had a feeling this would happen. Maybe I'm crazy but the hints seem so obvious."
Paris got up and when through her CD rack and found Invincible. She took out the booklet.
"I'm listening." She said.
Prince took another deep breath and flipped through the booklet.
"There's an even number of songs....16. The first half of the album...everything up to speechless...songs like 'Unbreakable', 'Invincible' , and 'heaven Can Wait' , 'Break Of Dawn'.....hint his ...exsistance in a way. Either by the titles or lyrics. They're all bunched up together. I knew there was a reason for this."
Paris nodded and listened.
"In the second half of the album are the directions. Some of the lyrics stand out in the songs. These lyrics have nothing to do with the main idea of the song. Like in '2000 Watts' haven't you noticed that everything in the song seemed to be on topic except the line, in the first verse 'You feel I'm real'. I think this is directed to someone.
Also in the first verse of You are My Life, theres the line 'you brought me back to the light'.
Looking onward we come to 'The Lost Children'. I never did get the ending that I did for this song. But this shows the hidden message. Nothing left to do but walk away? What did we walk away from? Why are we lost? What we called denial I do believe is truth."
"Oh no," Paris said suddenly standing. "Dad is alive?"
Prince shrugged. " I always believed it. Look at the song, 'Whatever Happens'. Don't let go of my hand. Then there's threatened. Skip the living dead, ya de ya de ya stuff. Go to Rod Serling's rap. What is the one thing that sticks out in the whole song. The thing that goes off the song, so to speak?"
Paris swallowed hard. "Never Neverland. That's the place."
