The Night Falls

"You all are going to see a lot of blood." The Master said to the dozen vampire servants. They were inside a mausoleum located in the local cemetery.

"So be prepared. I'll rip Michael limb from limb."

One of the vampires had Lisa Marie tied up, standing in front of him.

"I don't see what part in the fight I play."

The Master smiled at her. "You'll see, my pet."

Soon enough, Michael walked in. Everyone went silent.

"Long time, no see." The Master said.

Michael nodded.

"Well, why don't we get this started. We fight fair. No powers. And we fight 'til the death."

Michael glanced at Lisa, realizing she had been taken captive.

"Fine." He said finally.

"Alright." The Master nodded to one of his servants.

"Ready?" The servant said. "Okay...FIGHT!"

The Master made the first attack in which Michael dodged. The Master's servants were animated with cheers. Michael grabbed the back of The Master's collar and pulled him towards him. Michael started punching him repeatedly in the stomach and finally threw him against the wall. The Master hit the stone hard.

"Who's the real vamp now?" Michael said.

"Oh Michael. It's not over." The Master quickly recollected himself and charged at him, knocking Michael on to the ground. They both landed at Lisa's feet. Lisa clearly wasn't rooting for either one of them.

"How would you like to die, Michael?" The Master said with a smile. The Master started punching Michael in the stomach until Michael used his feet and kicked the Master off of him. Michael quickly got up. He grabbed The Master's shirt and pulled him to his feet. Michael pushed him into the wall again and started slamming his head into the wall. By each impact, The Master began to become more dazed and dizzy. The wall even began to crack.

"Met your match?" Michael said. He held the Master against the stone by his neck. The Master smiled weakly.

"No. You will never be as powerful as me, even if you do kill me." He blinked a few times, showing his dizziness.

"You have a weakness. I'm sorry, you just aren't meant to be a vampire."

"I have no weakness." Michael whispered.

"Oh you do. Just one." The Master eyed Lisa. There was a vampire about ten feet away from her, twirling a stake. Michael closed his eyes for a second. He was going to say something but the Master cut him off.

"Michael, don't lie to yourself. You care." The Master gave a toothy grin. "Kill her."

It happened fast. The vampire with the stake began to run towards her. Michael didn't think twice. He threw The Master on the floor and ran to Lisa. There was no time to stop the vampire. Instead of staking Lisa, he staked Michael in the heart. Michael stumbled backwards into Lisa. When Lisa felt his body fall against her's, she realized what had just happened. He had just given his life away for her. This cold, emotionless, animal died for her.

"no, no, Michael, no," Lisa whispered in a whimpery voice. Michael stood there against Lisa, eyes wide in shock and pain.

"You see," The Master said. He still remained on the ground. "You were never meant to be a vampire. You were meant to have feelings. And those feelings, confusion, hurt, and pain, annoyed you as a vampire. Even when you were the coldest you could be, you still had feelings for her. That's why you would've never succeeded over me."

"Michael," Lisa whispered, tears coming to her eyes.

"Michael, please tell me he didn't....please tell me it was another close call...please."

Still standing close to her, Michael reached behind him and touched her face.

His hand was quivering.

"I love you," he said.

"No, no," Lisa sobbed. "Michael no,"

"Lisa, dont worry," Michael said. "This was meant to happen."

Lisa couldn't see. Tears filled her eyes. She wished she wasn't chained so she could hold him. One last time. But she cherished his body up against her's. Michael slowly collapsed to the ground. Lisa stood still. She looked up at the ceiling because she couldn't look at the floor. There was no saving him now. There was no bringing him back. And the worst part is, she knew everything the Master said was true.

The Master slowly sat up. "Let her go."

The servant untied Lisa's hands. Lisa didn't look down when she stepped over Michael's body. She stopped at the entrance.

"Lisa, he's gone. For good. And there's nothing you can do about it this time. Now go before I feel like killing you too."

~~~~~~~
The next day, she found out that Michael had killed Debbie Rowe too. She lay in bed and cried. Not just for Michael, but for all the lives lost. She cried for herself because she couldn't let Michael go. She was forced to heal her hurting soul that's been bleeding ever since the day she changed Michael into an emotionless, cold-hearted immortal.
