"Who are you?" She asked.
"A friend of Lisa's." Ray answered smiling.
"What do you want?"
"To know if Michael's here." Ray said.
"No. Goodbye." Debbie was going to close the door but Ray stopped her.
"Wait." He said.
"What?"
"You do know Michael's a bloodsucker right? And you are human, right?" Ray asked.
"Yes." Debbie said slowly.
"Do you trust him?"
"Yes."
"Why?" Ray asked.
"Look, I'm not looking for an interview here--"
"Me either. Why do you trust him?"
Debbie paused. "I love him."
"Look, I'm going to tell you something. I'm a vampire, okay? So don't think you know all there is to know about the Night. You don't. And don't think you know all there is to know about Michael. Especially when he's a vampire. Because right when you turn around, he will back stab you, literally. Love can be blind. Think about that."
Debbie slammed the door Ray's face.
Lisa got to Havenhurst and already knew she was too late. The place was too silent for the whole Jackson family to be staying in. The front door was open and Lisa tried cutting on the lights unsuccessfully. Michael was definitely in the house. Lisa knew this because Michael could control things with his eyes. That was his power. Moving through the house, she began to get scared for the first time in a long time. She heard absolutely nothing as she went into the living room.
"Is anybody here?" she whispered. She was being pathetic. She was a vampire, why was she scared of Michael?
Walking towards the couch, she stopped in her tracks. She saw Jermaine laying full length on the couch.
"Maine?" She said softly. "Maine?"
He was motionless. Completely still. Lisa slowly went up to him. Through the light shown from the blinds of the windows, she was definitely sure it was Jermaine. His arm dangled limply over the edge of the couch. His eyes remained closed. Blood soaked his white shirt from the deep wound in his chest. It was obviously caused by a knife.
"Shit, Michael." Lisa said out loud. "Shit."
Lisa had a dreaded feeling that all the members of the Jacksons had been murdered like Jermaine, including Janet. Lisa went into the kitchen.
"Oh God" she murmured. Rebbie, Marlon, Randy, Jackie. Their body's all rested in chairs around the kitchen table. Lisa swallowed hard, as she couldn't help imagining all four of them chatting amongst themselves before they were murdered. She could even hear their screams. Lisa couldn't bare to see anymore. She ran up the stairs.
"Janet!" she called out. She didn't care if Michael heard her now. She was so in rage, she probably could take on the most powerful vampire. She found Janet's room quickly and opened the closet. There Janet sat, against the closet wall, hugging her knees up to her chest. She was shedding tears of terror.
"Lisa?"She whispered through her sobs.
"Yes, everything's okay now." Lisa said, helping Janet to her feet. She was still in the dress she wore to the funereal. Janet couldn't stop crying.
"It's all over," she sobbed. "Their all dead. He killed all of them. I could hear them screaming downstairs." She threw her arms around Lisa. "He's an animal. Michael has turned into a..." She broke into hysterical tears.
"We got to get out of here before he finds us." Lisa said.
As they hurried out of the house, Lisa began to lose hope. She couldn't face Michael. Michael was her weakness. He was ten times more powerful than she was. He could kill someone just by looking into his or her eyes. She might as well wait until he decides if his next victim would be her.
