These pictures were taken at an EAA Fly-In Convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Lots of great flying and lots of classic planes to see. Photographs don't really do the Fly-In justice, but at least you will get a glimpse of some of the activities.
This is a nifty little racer. She flys verrrrry fast........and very loudly! This GB R2 racer is an exact replica owned and flown by Delmar Benjamin.......really neat to watch.
Jim Frankin performed stunts. That's his son on the wing. The old restored Waco is loud and smokey. These guys put on an awesome show! GREAT entertainment!
This is a situation where you can let your cursor do the flying.. even do aerobatics!

Northern Lights present an excellent show of formation flying and aerobatics.
This is a P51D. Used in WW2 against Hitler's forces.
This B17 bomber was restored and is in excellent condition. There are not too many of these classics left. They were used extensively in WW2 and were instrumental in winning the war against the axis powers.
This threesome includes two very decorated fliers. Chuck Yeager and "Andy" Anderson are in the P51's. The third plane is a F 14. Both Yeager and Anderson were WW2 aces.
The Concord..... the new fast kid on the block. Used by British Airways and Air France, it looks like a bat in the air both fast and graceful. Definitely the loudest thing I have ever heard at Oshkosh! Can reach speeds of Mach 2 on it's transoceanic flights
This F117 fighter bomber is sure weird looking.... but it was one of the heroes of the Gulf War. Sadam's radar didn't think it looked like a plane either but he sure knows about Stealth bombers now.!
