I was sitting with Gaurav the only boy who came that day for home tution. Tha mwn who keeps cows was cutting the grass in a light drizzle and said that there was some body at the main gate . the lady was afraid of the three dogs sleeping in the varendah. I got up and nearing the woman recognized her as Usha mami. She had come to spend the week end with us. After dinner Pawan told her she was upset as her bro Pratap , mother, father, Rani auntie and she herself had got involved in a criminal case filed by Anuradha who had married into her Bhanote family last august on the 7th. Just four days later Anu had filed a report with the police. Pawan said That she was a fraud and had remarried, whereas her bro is going through all the humiliation, but I thought silently who was the real victim? Was not Anu the rich owner of a huge mansion? Was she not a computer engineer Pawan had told us about? Was Anu not the daughter of their family friends? Was she not tortured as Anu had claimed? Was she not asked to stay away as long as she did not fulfill all the dowry demands?
