While most of it will be dull dull dull, every now and then there will be something of profound interest.
Turkey trip

I got my itenirary for my trip to Turkey over spring break and it looks really fun. I am excited, like really excited. I've never been overseas so this is a thrill for me. BUT, i am not a great traveler. I am a nervous flyer. like I do ok once we are in the air, but getting on the plane, the takeoff and landings, im not so comfortable with that. I will be ok, nothing  a little xanax and vodka can't cure. :)

The otehr concern Im having is that apparently right before my trip, Turkey has decided it would be good to attack the Kurds in Iraq. I dont' need this right now. I am not comfortable going to a foreign country where people are attacking each other with military force. Call me crazy, but this does not seem like a good time to me. Everything will be fine, im sure, btu still...

I am sure that everything will be fine. I do not think that the school but allow the trip to go on unless everything was safe for them to do so. I know that it can be really scary flying because I am one of those people also but I'm sure that you will do alright. I hope that you have a wonderful trip and good luck. Please let us all know how it goes when you get back.

Hey man I agree with the above comment that the school probably wouldn't let you go if they didn't feel safe, but you should be aware and on guard at all times.
My father had a company in Aisha Bashan Russia about four years ago and my sisters and I flew over there to see him and then we flew to Turkey for a week. My dad sold his company in Russia because of the things that were going on in Turkey, he felt like it was too close. Have fun man, but take care of yourself. If thing don't look or feel right just trust your instincts, peace out!
