While most of it will be dull dull dull, every now and then there will be something of profound interest.
Frustrated

So i found out last night, accidentily that one of my co-workers makes more money than me. That's not that big of a deal except that this particular co-worker makes $3000 more than I do and is a complete and total fool at his job.

I like the guy in general, he's kind of a tool, but a generally nice guy i guess. The thing is, he doesn't do his job. He slacks at everything. He's not a good teacher. He refuses to do anything extra that's not explicitly written into his contract. He is just not a quality employee, so to find out that he makes so much more money than I do is a slap in my face.

I love my job, i like my students and my co-workers. I really do not want to leave my job, but it's hard for me to work somewhere that I feel so taken advantage of ya know what i mean. I'm jsut really disappointed and frustrated. Grrrr.  What to do????

I understand where you are coming from. How long has he been a teacher? Do you know why he would make more money? If you know the answers to both these questions and still feel cheated, talk to someone and try to change that before you quit. If you love your job-stay with it! But don't back down if it means a lot to you. Good thoughts to you-Candice
