Out of a seed grows many wonderous things.  A beautiful flower, a towering tree, a yard of grass....a person.  Many times in life we plant all different types of seed in order to watch something grow into something beautiful.  We water it, feed it, fertilize it and as we do we see it grow into a beautiful flower or towering tree. 

In the same respect we nuture and watch our children grow.  But how often is the nurturing just down to the basics of food, water, clothing and sheltering.  Are we not suppsed to plant a seed in them too that allows them to grow spiritually and to know and love God?  All too often we neglect the seed of faith that needs watering and nurturing in our children.  We do the basics and send them on their way.  What if God did the same to us?  Most of us would still be lost and wandering in a dry desert without food and hungaring and thirsting for just a taste of God.

No matter where you plant the seed of faith, be it in your children or someone else remember there are those you will have to nurture and help along in their growth.  While there will be others who will not need as much nurturing, it is ok to still check on them once in a while to see how they are doing.

God made you...He planted you...He nurtured you...and He knows everything there is to know about you.  Had He not taken care of you...had not cared for you...you would not be here.  He has a plan for all of us.  All we have to do is accept it and follow it.
