| I love to sing, laugh, and enjoy life with my children...but most of all I am a great believer in God and my faith. | ||||
Pieces of Me. ![]() I have been reading a blog recently about life, love, loss, pain & healing that has moved me. Since I have no permissions to present them here, let me just say that it made me look back and remember my life, my loves, my losses, my pain & my healing and see where pieces of them have melted into pieces of me. By doing so, I can remember them...good or bad...as influences in my life. We all live, love, lose, hurt, & heal to some extent in our lives. In doing so we come across many varieties of people who leave a part of themself with us. In some ways those pieces that they've given us help mold us into the people we are today. Some of them will enter our lives for a lifetime, while others will come and go like a revolving door, and still others will leave this world leaving a part of themself with us. In the same respect...we leave pieces of ourselves too with them. And as I look back over my life at the good and the bad, I hope that I have left more positive pieces of me in others lives than negative. Surely at some points in our lives when we are feeling our worst and not at our best with the good Lord above and leave behind a piece of ourself that we may not always like. Either way, those pieces of ourselves have helped shape the course of that persons life in one way or another. Unfortunately we all suffer loss in our life. Most times that loss is someone very close to our heart and we feel that loss more painfully. Because that person has left so many pieces of themselves with us we feel those pieces dim...fade...lose sight. Irregardless of how dimly they go, how faded they get, or how far out of sight they may be...they are still there to help mold us, make us into the very people we are today. Even though they are gone, the pieces they have left remind us of who they were and who we are. With this in mind, I find myself wanting to leave more "good" pieces of me with the people I come in contact with so that I can have a positive impact on their life. No matter how big or small that impact is, it is a testament that I was there, in their life, being a part of who they are for how ever long God has placed me there. So the next time you find yourself "meeting someone, anyone new" remember that pieces of you will be left in their life...just as pieces of them will be left with you. May this piece of me I leave with you now be a positive impact on your life today as well as tomorrow. **This is dedicated to Lynn Sloan who left so many pieces of herself in me that I have become the person I am today. Just so you know, you do make an impact on people. You are who you are and these gains, losses, hurts and joys have all worked together to make you the individual that God is molding for His perfect plan.

Thanks you for sharing your heart. I appreciate your hopeness and communication with strangers! I learn from you. I too have hurts, perhaps I can talk about soon. One thing I will say, is we need to be carefull, that when we are hurt ( whether intended or misunderstood), it is easy to fnd ways to hurt back. What do we all think about that? thanks
