I love to sing, laugh, and enjoy life with my children...but most of all I am a great believer in God and my faith.
Get Away From Me Devil!

I had an opportunity to speak with a lady today who came to the church to "see what we were all about". At first I quickly directed her to the Pastor because well to be quite honest...I am still learning what we are all about still. After her fifty cent tour from the Pastor she came into the office where I was "working" and began looking at books in our small one shelf library. We found her a couple of books to start reading and I told her we would see her on Sunday.

Thinking this was the end of our little conversation I went to sit back behind the desk. God had something else in mind. The woman sat and we began to talk about our family, our lives, and God. As we shared back and forth God gave me the words to speak with this woman in a way I would never have imagined I could. See I am really good at writing it all down. Here I can blog til the cows come home and say with ease the things He lays on my heart. But when it comes to face to face confrontations...lets just say I have tended to stumble a lot.

We talked about many things. But the one thing that seemed to be a big part of our discussion was how we "worry" about people or things in our lives. I shared with her my most recent way to deal with the worries in my life and that was to say "Get away from me devil! He/She is in God's hands now and you can't touch them anymore." or "Get away from me devil! God is going to take care of that for me!"

See in our humaness, we tend to take little things back from the alter as we walk by it. We really don't even realize most times that we are doing it. We just sweep it up and tuck it away in our pocket and sooner or later it begans to rear its ugly head at us...worry us. Because, after all, we are human. But by His grace we are allowed to lay it back upon the alter and declare without a doubt "Devil! Get away from me. THIS NOW BELONGS TO GOD AND YOUR WORRY DEMON CAN NOT TOUCH IT ANY MORE!" And everytime God will take it back and carry the burden for you.

The next time you find yourself worrying over something that is beyond your control, take it to the alter and tell the devil that it belongs to God now. He is gonna fix it and there is nothing the devil can do to stop Him. And, when you find yourself with that little worry back in your pocket...take it back to the alter and declare it to Him again.

God Bless!

See, you really have something to offer! More than you realize. The devil just wants to shut you up. But, as you have said, "devil, you can't touch this!" LOve ya, CB
