2006 National Champions! ![]() Ordinarily (or most rencently) I would not have given creedence to this subject on my blog page because it really does not fall into line with the things I have written here of late. But then this blind little squirrel found a really big acorn and just had to share it with all of you! E&CB will appreciate this.... So, it is game day. Your team is in the championship and you are cheering them all on for you are worth. As the game begins and things start off you are either excited because your team is playing really well or disappointed and screaming at the T.V. Either way, your involved (and sometimes wishing you were down there showing them how to play) As the game progresses so does your mood depending on how your team is playing. IF THEY PLAYED LIKE THE GATORS DID THAT NIGHT YOUR GETTING EXCITED! If your like me your whooping and hollering and telling everybody who does not care YOUR TEAM IS WINNING. By the end of the game when your team has won everybody in the neighborhood knows because my god, how could they not hear you? As exciting as it all is...where is our same "gameday excitement" when we see our Lord and Savior winning at His game? Do we show the same enthusiasm when people are coming down to the goal line just to touch the hem of his garmet and be saved? Do we scream and yell when they turn and run the wrong direction? Do we lose ourselves in the glory of it all? Sadly, most of us don't even notice and if we do...we don't share the same excitement and enthusiasm we showed on gameday when our team was winning and won the national championship. WHOA! Did I step on some toes there? Sorry...but the truth of the matter is that the most important game of our lives is already being played right out in front of us every day and we are missing it. We keep getting the ball punted back to us from Him to keep us in the game and some how we keep missing those first downs. We are missing His passes and allowing satan to drive us back and tackle us past the scrimmage line. It is time to open the playbook (The Word) and get back in the game! We are not supposed to just sit and watch...we are supposed to get involved and tackle satan and keep him from scoring even one more soul. We are to run to the goal and know that without a doubt that Gods got our back. And don't worry, when you fumble the ball He will get it back to you so you can continue your drive. If your a Christian, your already on His team. But are you sitting by on the sidelines or in the stands and watching (or are you even paying attention?)....or are you getting down on the field and getting dirty? The other team is always gonna be tougher...but with the playbook He has provided you will have no trouble defeating satan and helping others find Jesus. It is time. Because the Championship game is not too much farther off. Are you gonna be on the winning side? God Bless! Revelations 7:14 2007-01-19 04:54:08 GMT
