I love to sing, laugh, and enjoy life with my children...but most of all I am a great believer in God and my faith.
How To Soar With The Eagles When There Are So Many Turkeys Around!
photo

How can you soar with the eagles when there are so many turkeys around? That is the question of all time. But if you look at it from a Christians point of view, you can see it in a whole new light.

At one time, before we were Christians we were indeed like the turkeys who never knew what was about to hit them when the devil came on attack. Like turkeys we stuck pretty close to the ground because let's be honest...how we ever gonna soar with the other birds when we have so much "meat of the world" on us? Then, we start to learn about Jesus and His everlasting love, forgiveness, mercy, grace and goodness and we begin to shed the "meat of the world" and change. From the very least of the avian species we began to grow in our knowledge of the Word and of the Holy Spirit and pretty soon find ourselves able to fly ever higher and higher. We grow from a sparrow...to a cardinal...to a dove...etc...until finally we find ourselves grown into an eagle.

Once we find ourselves spirit filled and able to fly higher and higher we become like an eagle and soar so high because we want to be as close to Heaven and Him as we can. The eagle has been a strong symbol in our great country because is stands regally with pride. As Christians we too should stand regally and proud because we have found something the turkeys have not...Jesus!

As eagles we are to soar ever higher and ever farther to spread the Word to the turkeys so that they too can grow into and eagle...a Christian just like us. We are supposed to be the example (symbol if you will) of His love and the things He has in store for us...to be closer to Him and aspire to reach Heaven in the end. As a bird of "prey" if you will...we are to swoop down on the turkeys and share what we know about the Word to keep them from being devoured by the devil.

So the next time you find yourselves amid all those turkeys remember they are looking to you as an example of God's everlasting love and if they continue to live as they are...they will end up someone's thanksgiving dinner and miss out in the end.

God bless you all this Christmas season!
