I love to sing, laugh, and enjoy life with my children...but most of all I am a great believer in God and my faith.
Freebies!

I was surfing through the internet tonight and reading my emails when I came across a word I had seen many times but never really investigated until now.  I became impressed with the amount of "FREE STUFF" I could get and found myself filling out numerous forms for various items that I felt I wanted to try.  I thought "Hey! This is great!" and everytime it asked did I want to tell my friends I submitted the emails of the friends I thought might enjoy the "FREE STUFF" and am sure that now their email box will be flooded with all these things they can get for "FREE" if they so choose.

After an exhausting 2 hours (yes, I spent 2 whole hours doing this) I was finally through filling out this form and that form for my "FREE STUFF" and was glad that very few of them had a "catch".  I mean, don't you just hate when you spend time filling out all this information, answering a bunch of silly questions, asked to take advantage of this offer or not (about 100 different ones)....only to get to the end to find out you have to pay some ridiculous amount for shipping and handling? "FREE" goes right out the window.

So now I am done and ever so gently God taps me on the shoulder and says "When was the last time you spent 2 hours telling anyone about my "FREE OFFER""?  Well now I have to admit...I was a bit ashamed to admit...NEVER.  Then the next question was "When was the last time you spent 2 hours enjoying my "FREE OFFER""?  I proudly said "Well at church-" and felt cut off by the Spirit saying with a smile on his face "Outside of chruch"?  I was a bit ashamed to admit again...NEVER.

So often, we as Christains are so caught up in the world and the "FREE STUFF" it has to offer that we forget about the "FREE STUFF" God gave to us when His Son, Jesus died on the cross and freed us from our sins so that we may have a free  place to live, eat, fellowship, worship and praise Him for eternity.  He has paid the price and covered the shipping and handling costs the rest is free for us to live and share freely.

So as a mother, I am going to get my "FREE STUFF" from the world and ENJOY the "FREE STUFF" God has to offer far more and teach my children the value of that "FREE STUFF" God provides is far more valuable than any "FREE STUFF" the world has to offer.
