I love to sing, laugh, and enjoy life with my children...but most of all I am a great believer in God and my faith.
Freedom?

Just a couple of nights ago I was talking to a young lady just half my age with whom I found I have a lot in common with.  I realized that she like myself at that age had been through a lot of the same things and we think very much alike.  One of the many discussions we had that night was about freedom and how much it has changed over the last several years.  So incorporated  in my thoughts today are hers as well.

When I was growing up and in elementary at the very least...we stood and said the Pledge of Allegiance without ever one complaint that we were "One Nation Under God".  I am not sure exactly when in my later school career that the Pledge was stopped in schools but I also don't think I really thought much more of it after that until I got older.  As the years progressed (with my age as well) I began to see and hear a lot of how "people" were starting to say that our God was infringing on their rights.  Before too long...God was completely removed from the schools and being removed from our government as well.  Any and every symbol, word, or item that represented God in our country has begun to disappear because we have allowed other cultures with their religions and ideas to enter our country and to begin to slowly remove what this country was built on and that is "ONE NATION UNDER GOD".

Now that I am older and wiser I am wondering where all our freedoms went.  What happened to this nation that was built with God as our foundation?  What happened to this nation where freedom of religion meant you could pray when you wanted, where you wanted, whenever you wanted without fear of prosecution or punishement?  What happened to this nation we built under God?  This nation is slowly but surely being stripped of it's freedoms because we are allowing people from other cultures to enter our country and tell us that our founding fathers were wrong to build this nation under God and they don't like it.  Well, my thought would be if they don't like my nation which was built under God, then why did they come here?  Most answer because of freedom...how can we continue to be completely free like our founding fathers intended when they are stripping every bit of evidence of God from our country?

Please understand, I am not a radical nor am I prejudice against any culture or religion.  But now I say my rights are being infringed upon as a Christian and an American because God is being removed from everything my country was built on.  A million men of any culture or race can march on Washington D.C. and proclaim their rights for this or that reason.  But let one million Christians march to that same place and see how many people cry out against us because we want God back in America again...back in our schools, to stay in our Pledge, and every symbol that has been removed from every government building put back.  Why?  Because that is what my country was built on....ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE, TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
