Reading:  This week's story is The Woman Who Outshone the Sun.  Students will be able to connect their experiences with a character in the story.



Writing:  Students will be working on developing organization through chronological order, cause and effect, compare and contrast, and using questions and answers.



Conventions:  Students will continue progressing with cursive writing by using the letters h, i, j, and k.  Students will also become more familar with contractions and pronouns.



Math:  Studenw will beging using probability to find out potential possibilites.



Social Studies:  Students will begin learning about democracy and its three different branches.
