Welcome to Writer's Bind
Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog posting on Writer's Bind.
After being unable to find a suitable forum to display my works, I have decided to build my own site dedicated to all of my writing and to current, past, and future writing projects. Be sure to check back often to see what is going on in my writing world.
Today I submitted three of my past works to the Twelfth Annual Community Literary Awards here in Kalamazoo. I submitted two short stories for that category and one poem for the poetry category. I am really confident that at least one of them will win the competition.

Moons
Picking up the pieces of me that I left behind,
Swimming through the visions I had deemed divine,
Crawling through the spaces of my wasted life,
Holding onto moments and I don't know why.
There's a waning-crescent moon out tonight,
And by tomorrow there will be a new moon in the sky,
Proof the world will spin regardless if I care,
So why should I care?
Tonight, the stars are shining brightly,
And I don't seem to notice anymore,
Through the night, I will toss and turn,
As I fight these visions in my head,
And I will sit up in my bed and think,
Of all the things I've done,
Of all the wrong things I've done,
And why should I regret them now,
When my life has only just begun.
Pretending that I don't know how to cry,
Chasing dreams to bring them to life,
Waiting for the moment when I can dive,
Breathing deeply to relax my tired eyes.
