Oy! Where to start. Mostly I feel left out. Seems like all the cool kids are doing this, so when in Rome.. Where a toga?

These are 2 of the 3 children I take care of.  Graham is 5, and Georgia(georgie) is 3, Phoebe (the baby) will be 9 months on Monday.  They are all very cute.  I have been very lucky to have found such a cool family to work for.  They are very down to earth, which is somewhat hard to find in LA.  As far as a nanny situation goes.  My new friend, the other white nanny.. OWN(for short), was telling me a story about one of her interviews.  She had a rough start before she finally found the family she now works for.  But one of the women she interviewed with was the wife of a very well known producer.  The woman met her at the door and led her up the stairs to the master bedroom.  Where she then crawled into bed and pulled the covers up to her chin, then conducted the interview.  Seriously, I thought shit like that only happens in the movies.

I showed up to work this morning, greeted by an excited 3 year old, an overly excited dog, a crawling baby with a big smile, and a somewhat held back 5 year old, who gives me the "word" touch fists greeting.  Georgie had a play date coming at 11, so we all decided to make cookies before she got there.  They turned out great and as I got all the kids settled in for lunch my nanny dad (ND ), showed up, spied the cookies and quickly gobbled one down.  He went to the fridge for a glass of milk, only to pour the last 1/2 cup or so into his tall glass.  He then lemented the fact that he would not be able to eat any more cookies until there was milk in the house.

Must be a hard life, get good quality care for your kids AND cookies....
