We spent a week 'up north' last week.  Bob had lots of projects lined up so we kept ourselves pretty busy around the homestead. 

We got vinyl siding up on one side of the rental house.  Had to tear down the old siding to put up the vinyl. 

We also got one side of the log cabin stained.  That was a big job.  First we washed the logs with a soapy bleach solution.  We actually scrubbed all the logs.  After the logs dried out for 24 hours we painted on a coat of stain.  The next day we sprayed on a second coat of stain and then brushed it out to make sure it went on evenly.  The second coat was soooo much easier than the first that we then sprayed a coat on the side of the cabin that had been stained last year.

I put up pictures of the progress on the log cabin here.  Sure is a slow process.  Just too many other projects that need to be completed too.

Kitchen:

We have done a little work there.  Finally have the lazy susan installed and the cabinet doors on the back side of the peninsula.  We also have the counter installed next to the refridgerator.  I'll get some more pictures soon. 

Our next step in the house will be to spray the ceilings.  Now that promises to be intersting.
