Finally....  we have activity! 

It's COLD  this week (highs around zero ), so we looked for something to do inside.  The Dining room floor won.  We decided on a laminate flooring with a bolder pattern than is our usual style.  It's called Tigerwood by Tarkett.  I was a little apprehensive about the bold look but it does seem to mellow out in the large space.  It will certainly take some 'getting used to'. The floor only took two days with a little extra time on day three for some finishing details.  We still have a few transition pieces to put in. 

The old vinyl flooring was glued down at all the edges.... too much work to remove, but it made a great underlayment.

And the finished floor.  It is quite a change.... but I think we will like it.
