2008 The Year in Review

Jan \   We put down a wood laminate floor in the dining room.  Its a little bolder than our
Feb    usual choices.  Were getting braver in our old age.  Other projects in the kitchen this year have
Mar /  been some counter top and cabinetry work.  The kitchen is really looking nice.  Stop by sometime for a                cup of coffee and Ill show it off!

Apr -  I retired from 36 years of Nursing as of April 1st.   Weekends and holidays are now my own to plan.  No more calls at 0530 on my day off to see if I can work.  To celebrate my freedom we took a road trip to Arizona.  We saw the Grand Canyon and drove cross country on the way home.

May \ Bob continues his monthly trips to Intl Falls.  His mother is well and still lives at home alone.  Bob
Jun   keeps everything in working order for her.
Jul /  I went with Bob for a week in July and helped him on a few of his many projects.  We stained one
side of the cabin and put siding on one side of the rental.

Aug We sprayed/textured the ceilings in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hall. What a messy job.

Sep Mira turned one year old.  She started walking two days before her birthday and hasnt stopped since.  We visit her as often as possible.  It is so much fun to see her master new skills.

Oct We had to deal with the produce from our enlarged gardening effort this year.  Bob has plans for a much larger garden next year.  It might be our survival plan if the economy keeps tanking.
Joel and Aiko went to Japan for Aikos sisters wedding.

Nov I still weave rag rugs and have made several this year.  I hope to get my rugs to a Christmas bazaar.  This should be a good time of the year to sell -  at least I hope so.   (They didn't sell well..... bummer.)

We wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season and Best Wishes for 2009.
