Welcome to Progressive Blog. Where you report and you decide!
Doesn't Bush take this loyalty thing a little too far? Of course, he has a slight problem admitting mistakes but this is ridiculous. Gonzales is now completely useless as a leader of the Justice Department. But he has protected his boss and that's why Bush won't fire him.
Didnt' Bush swear to protect and defend the constitution when he was inaugurated? Doesn't the constitution provide for separation of powers between all three branches of government? Hasn't Bush's appointing of his own White House counsel as the Attorney General proven to be a complete breakdown of the separation of powers? Doesn't that make this an impeachable offense. Not that impeachable offenses are hard to come to by these days.
