Entry for August 23, 2007 ![]() Haboob over the Nile - May 2007 A sandstorm normally happens when there is a change of climate and in summer. Best thing to do is to stay indoors. The sky strangely lit up in red brown sand from the dessert. Imagine you are caught in an Armageddon. Basically there will be sand everywhere, on your tongue, in your eyes, in your hair or it's just all over you. There be thick layer of sand on your floor and leave footprints when you walk on it. Once it is over later you will end up spending half an hour or so scratching/mopping the floors into representable state so that you can continue with your day again. Bad/thick haboob can distrup flights as visibility is very poor.
