LEADER 1: Welcome everyone for attending. We are all gathered here to enroll our Tenderfoots into the Guiding World. We  have a special ceremony planned just for them. First I would like to introduce the leaders to you...... Let us get started with the enrollment.

LEADER 2:   I light this white candle to represent our Mission

Girl Guides of Canada Guides du Canada is a Movement for girls, led by women. It challenges girls to reach their potential and  empowers them to give leadership and service as responsible citizens of the world.

Guides will take turns reciting each Law.     As a Law is read, a white candle is lit from the blue candle and placed in playdo around  the globe.

TENDERFOOTS:   Light small white candle and recite a Law

LEADER 3:   I light this white candle to represent the Principles of Guiding.

LEADER 2:   Guiding develops personal values and well-being, self respect, and respect for others.

LEADER 1:  Guiding promotes fun, friendship, adventure, and challenges through new experiences.

LEADER 4:   Guiding celebrates pride in accomplishment.

ALL OTHER GUIDES:

Guiding develops leadership and decision-making skills.

Guiding is based on the ideals of the Promise and Law.

Guiding celebrates pride in accomplishment.

Guiding teaches practical skills and teamwork.

Guiding gives service.

Guiding values the natural environment.

Guiding develops an appreciation of Canada and its diversity.

Guiding fosters cultural understanding and knowledge of the global community.

Guiding actively supports the worldwide sisterhood of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

LEADER 1:  Thank you all, now for the girls. May I have (name Tenderfoot)  and her Patrol Leader step forward please.

PATROL LEADER:  I present (name tenderfoot) who wishes to be enrolled as a Guide.

LEADER 1:  Are you familiar with the Guide Law,  and have you considered its meaning?

TENDERFOOT: Yes

LEADER 1:  Are you ready to make the Guide Promise?

TENDERFOOT:  Yes

LEADER 1:  Will you promise to do your best, to be true to yourself, your God and Canada

TENDERFOOT:  Yes

LEADER 1:  Will you help others, and accept the Guiding Law?

TENDERFOOT:  Yes

LEADER 1:  Please say your Promise.

TENDERFOOT:  says Promise making sign

LEADER 1:  Pin on Enrollment Pin, shake hands

I trust you to keep your Promise and to try to help others wherever you are. The ???? Guide Unit welcomes you as a Member and trusts you to make the Promise and Law part of your life.

LEADER 2:  Congratulations. Hand her Enrollment Certificate, shake hands

When all girls are done.

LEADER 1:  As the candles circle this Globe of the World, so does Guiding. Each small candle represents a law leading towards the achievement of meeting our Mission, Principles and the keeping of the Promise.    Let these flames show you the way.

Turn off lights.  Can we please sing "It's a Small World".
