Latest development:
I learned about sleeving recently. I replaced the 3" Sch40 barrel with a 36" long, 1 1/2" SDR-21 pipe that was sleeved with a 2" Sch80 pipe and the Golfball Slinger, GBS-150 was born! The I.D. (1.70") of the SDR-21 pipe is perfect for O.D. (1.68") of golfballs.  The Sch80 pipe both stabilizes and strengthens the thinner and somewhat flimsier SDR-21 pipe. Visit the
Spudtech forum to find out more about sleeving procedures developed by some of the members.

A different procedure with the same objective is to  sleeve  a 2" Sch40 pipe with another 2" Sch40 pipe as was done as shown at
Foxxlord's site (Sleeving How-To). This tedious procedure, if done correctly,  also yeilds a perfectly sized golfball barrel!

I tested the GBS-150 at 70 PSI in this new configuration and the golfball was nowhere to be found! I have yet to continue the tests because the Rainbird PEB-150 developed a small leak. Once I fix the leak, I will try some shots with 100 PSI. I will post the results as soon as I can. This is by far, the best performing launcher I've built to date. Once the paint scheme is on, I'll replace these pics.
