| Chopping The 1" Inline Lawn Genie 204LG 1. Study the drawing above. 2. Remove manual bleed knob and solenoid assembly and discard both. 3. Remove cover assembly. Note: The body, spring and diaphragm assembly remain intact. 4. Drill a 7/16" hole in the center of the cover where indicated in drawing. Note: The guide rod comes off with the drilled out plug and is discarded. 5. Tap the hole for 1/4" NPT and clean off any debris from this operation. 6. Fill bleed and soleniod ports with JB Weld. (See drawing above) Note: Tape the bottom of the cover where the ports are to keep the JB Weld from bleeding through. Let assembly dry overnight. After the JB Weld has cured, remove the tape. 7. Re-intall the modified cover assembly on the valve body, making sure that the spring and diaphragm assembly are aligned. Make sure no debris falls in the valve. 8. Install a 1/4" close nipple in the previously tapped hole on the cover. 9. Install a pilot valve (blow gun) on the nipple. 10. Done! |
