Yet another mission she wished she hadn't been on. Another mission where someone had been totured and hurt and she had been helpless to help them. Jack was angry at her, angry at everyone. She was sick of being strong. "Why do I have to be strong?" she spoke out loud to the walls that she felt closing in. Teal'c wasn't any comfort, he'd offer her words of advice, but that didn't help. Daniel was passing her lab and heard her speak, "Why do I have to be strong?". He sighed and whispered. "You don't have to be Sam". He longed to comfort her, take her in his arms, tell her that she didn't have to be strong around him, that it was okay. He opened the door and spoke quietly.. "Sam?" As her sobs subsided, she pulled back and he kissed her forehead gently. "Are you okay?" he asked her and this time she nodded, carefully. "Okay" he whispered, and turned and left, as quietly as he had come in.
