White Trash is an '80 RX-7. Left lane in the first two timeslips, right lane in the third. It is all stock (including A/C and full interior) except for a (very) mildly ported '84-85 12A swapped in. It still has the STOCK '80 carburetor (with secondary diaphragm spring removed entirely) and air cleaner. An electric fan conversion was done after I got tired with breaking the water pump belt; while it does have a thermostatic switch it is rather inaccurate so I just turn it on manually with the A/C button. I rarely need to turn the fan on, even in traffic. It has an "aftermarket" (generic) internally regulated fuel pump running with no return line. The trailing side of the ignition is handled by the stock '80 setup, hooked through the leading terminals on the distributor cap, and firing factory-spec NGK BR8ET's. The leading side has an MSD 6AL ignition box (8400 rpm limiter chip) driving two MSD Blaster 2 coils, which directly fire their own side-gapped Autolite 3923 plugs. The exhaust is a Pacesetter header (bad bad BAD header) blowing through a single 2.5" Race Ready, the stock midpipe, and a muffler scavenged from an '89 Lincoln Continental. It is surprisingly quiet, when the header gaskets aren't leaking. Suspension is stock, 136,000mi OEM everything except for Energy Suspension bushings in the rear lower links. Tires are 185/70R13 Goodyear Clubs on the factory waffle wheels. These tires, like many Goodyears, tend to hook harder the more you heat them up, like a drag slick. The above 60' are my best and result from a fairly large, intense rev-limiter bouncin', sideways snakin', crowd deafenin' 1-2 burnout, and a 6k clutch dump. The tires do not slip, the clutch does. I've made a video of the November 4th run (the 15.114) but I don't yet have a way of capturing it, plus the quality is not very good (shock interference when I shift, need a new camera mount) but it will be up here... eventually.

(If you are able/willing to convert this to MP3, contact me)
Wanna see the 15.1 run? (3.3 megs, .avi format, DiVX encoded)
Note the people crowding the breakdown lane to the right, holding their ears :-) Gotta love it!
