Finally! The end! Woohoo!

Heart of the Storm
Epilogue
Six months had passed since that battle. The Storm and the Gundam boys each went their separate ways, leaving their Gundams at Preventer HQ in case,
in the future, some crisis will need them again. Until that time, though,
there is peace among the colonies and Earth, with no apparent threat in sight.
Trinity Yuy and her children moved in next door to
her brother and new sister-in-law. Of course, Zechs
wasn’t happy about the marriage, but every time he tried to object, Heero would make reference to his long gone relationship
with Trinity.
“At least I’m taking responsibility for my son,” said Heero,
staring Zechs straight in the eye.
Zechs tried to come up with some sort of comeback,
but couldn’t. Heero was right. Zechs made a face. He hated to admit that Yuy was right. Zechs had
never thought of taking care of Michael. He didn’t know how he
could. He was married, with two young children. Michael was at an
age where he could almost take care of himself. Zechs
didn’t see how he could be of use to him now.
Trinity walked into the door with Noin behind her.
Zechs looked to her for a moment then back to Heero.
Heero shook his head and walked away, giving Trinity
a slight kiss on her cheek as he passed her. “We’ll see you all in two
weeks.”
Trinity smiled. “Don’t get into too much trouble. I’d hate to have
to come bail you out on your honeymoon. And don’t worry about
Aaron. We’ll make sure he stays out of trouble, here. So long as we can keep him and Maxwell, Jr. apart.”
Heero chuckled. “Good luck, there.”
He and Relena waved as they got into the car.
Noin and Trinity waved back as the car drove away.
“I’m gonna go check on the kids,” said Noin as she made a hasty exit, knowing that Trinity and Zechs needed to talk, privately.
“So…” said Zechs, not really knowing what he was to
say.
“So…” replied Trinity, sticking her hands in the pockets of her jeans.
“Michael wants to play baseball next year in school. He was wondering if
his father wanted to help him.”
Zechs blinked. “Trin…I
don’t know anything about baseball.”
“Neither does Michael. But you can both learn. Together.
It’s not too late for you to be his father. He’ll need you now more than
ever. In the next few years, he’ll go through the change of becoming a
man. He’ll need someone to look up to. To teach
him. And I can’t think of anyone better than his father. Can
you?”
Zechs smiled and shook his head. “You got me
there, Trin.”
She smiled also. “Good. Now, Michael is waiting outside. He
wants to get a chance to talk to you. Get to know you. I suggest you go.”
“But…I’ve got so much work….,” he started.
“Lucrezia and I will take care of it.” She
pointed to the door. “Go.”
Zechs nodded and walked to the door. He stopped
at the door. “Trin…I never stopped loving
you….It just turned into a different type of love.” He walked out the
door, closing it behind him.
“I know, Zechs.” She heaved a sigh and walked
out the back door, where Noin and the younger
children were.

Izreina Maxwell sat across from the dining table from
Quatre. She had moved out of her place with
Eric and Leia Knight and moved in with Quatre. She graduated from college with a degree in
music. She often played a piano accompaniment for Quatre
when he played his violin.
The week before, he had proposed to her. The wedding date was to be in
eight months.
She sat, fidgeting with the corner of the napkin that sat in her lap. All
day, she had been avoiding eye contact with Quatre.
Thinking he had made her upset in some way, Quatre
cooked a nice dinner that night, candles, roses, anything that would show her
that he loved her. He even dismissed his entire staff for that night so
that they could be alone.
They sat in silence for nearly half the meal when Quatre
set down his fork, noticing that she hadn’t taken a single bite, only picked at
her food.
“What did I do?” he asked, looking at her.
She didn’t answer right off, but looked up to him at least. “Hmm? What did you say?” She saw a look of worry on
his face. “I’m sorry, Hon, I’ve just been a little distracted
lately.” She got up from the table and walked over to the window, looking
out.
“I thought I had done something to upset you.” He stood up and walked
over beside her.
“Oh, you did something, and it upset part of me, but I’m not mad at you.
How could I be?” She looked up at him, with this far away look in her
eye.
“Iz…,” he started. “You’re not….are you?”
She smiled and nodded. “I am.”
“Well….when?” he said excitedly. “When is he due?”
“Let’s put it this way, I think we need to push the date of the wedding either
up or back….and how are you so sure it’s gonna be a
he?”
“ 'Cause there are too many women in the Winner family.” He smiled and
lifted her in a tight hug.
She smiled. “I just found out this morning. I was trying to think
of a right way to tell you.”
“If it comes from you, Iz, any way would be the right
way.” He kissed her briefly before setting her down. “Now you’d
better go eat before it gets cold. I don’t want my son going hungry.”
“And what are you gonna do if it’s a girl?” She sat
and gave a teasing grin to Quatre.
“Then, I don’t want my daughter to go hungry.” He sat back in his place.

Kalli Winner and Trowa
Barton had eloped soon after the battle. Trowa
remained with the circus and Kalli joined him and
Catherine. The two girls became good friends quickly. They had a
lot in common. More noticeable, they both liked to throw sharp objects at
Trowa. Except Kalli
needed a little more practice at NOT hitting someone. She had nearly
sliced off some of Trowa’s…um…more important parts.
“Kal!?” Trowa
yelled in a high pitch. “That one just barely missed! I think you’d
better leave the knives to Cathy.” Since marrying Kalli,
Trowa had become less and less of a quiet person, and
become more outspoken, especially when it came to the knife throwing.
“Awww, come on Trowa, this
is fun!” Kalli and Catherine both burst into
giggles.
“Fun for you, maybe, but I’m the one nearly getting hit. I thought you
wanted to have kids one of these days!” Trowa
pulled the knife out of the board where it had pinned his pants.
“Oh, I do, Baby, but practice makes perfect,” Kalli
replied cheerfully as she picked up another knife.
“Well, if you keep up like you’re going, I won’t be able to give you
kids.” He took shelter behind Catherine.
“Come on, Trowa, you never gave me this much
trouble,” said Catherine.
“That’s different. You were trained to purposely miss. She’s a
trained assassin. She never misses her target. There’s a very big
difference.”
“Hey, I am NOT an assassin. I was trained to kill, yes, but I am NOT an
assassin. Assassins are hired to kill people. I kill people only as
a means of defense.” Kalli put the knife down
and folded her arms with a pout on her lips.
“She’s got a point there, Trowa,” said Catherine.
“Okay, Kal, you’re not an assassin, but still, you
can practice on something other than me. I don’t want to lose any body
parts.”
“Fine,” said Kalli, the pout still on her face.
“Oh, don’t…Kal…don’t pout….no….” Trowa sighed and came out from his hiding place behind
Catherine. He wrapped his arms around Kalli in
a tight hug.
She smiled and playfully jabbed him in the ribs, pulled out of his hug and took
of running.
“Ooff..” Trowa
chased after Kalli as she ran out of the tent.
