Lola Belle Canto, celebrated mezzo-soprano, has electrified audiences all over the world with her interpretations of the title role of Carmen in the opera by Georges Bizet.

Best known as Dalila in Camille Saint-Saens's Samson et Dalila, Lola Belle counts 20 opera roles in her repertoire. Since her professional debut, she's performed at many of the world's great opera houses, including New York's Metropolitan Opera ("the Met").

Lola Belle is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., and continued her education at Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and the New England Conservatory.

Lola Belle met the other girls on a literature discussion community on the internet. The group has been communicating regularly for 6 years-discussing various books they have read. This year they decided to meet and take a small vacation together in Longville, MN. They had read that Longville was the smallest town in Minnesota to have a public library, and had heard of Longville's turtle races on National Public Radio last year.
