The Oriental Shorthair orginated from the Siamese. Breeders years ago wanted a siamese type cat with colours other than the traditional ones. So they mated a siamese with domestics and the American Shorthair and this is how the breed became a siamese hybred.

I breed and show Oriental Shorthairs & Longhairs. I am currently show in CCA and occasionally in CFA. The Orientals are great companions, they are very affecticate and loving, they are all home raised and love to be on your lap at any chance they can get. If you like the cuddlely type then this is a cat for you.

I have been breeding Orientals for 11 years.

My Cattery is registered with the Canadian Cat Assoc. and the Cat Fanciers Assoc. I have been showing and breeding cats for about 11 years. Starting with Balinese I have now chosen the Orientals.
