Star light, Star Bright...

If you live in of near a city you have very little chance of truly enjoying the night sky and the beauty it has to offer! Too much artificial light from these hugely inhabited areas decreases the visibility of the stars and planets by reflecting off the atmosphere and interfering with your vision.

Go out into the wilderness, far from any source of artificial light, lay on a huge boulder or the grass, and gaze into the clear night sky. There you will see reality. The one thing I believe cannot be covered up by any conspiracy.

Judge for yourself the unending beauty of this galaxy, this universe. Enjoy how your mind 'connects the dots' and creates forms with the stars. Watch how some of them seem to move. Which ones are planets? Which ones are suns? How much life is out there? Be amazed at just how beautiful space truly is.

It's truly amazing how large and bright the stars really are. One can feel so small and inconsequential compared to the enormity of the vast star filled sky. At first you are awed, then you feel blessed to witness the beauty of it all. To speak would seem to chase them away. But they are there, and have always been, and always will be.

We are all amatuer astrologers, being able to point out the Big Dipper, Litle Dipper, Orion's Belt, and so on. And what fun it can be. Can you do that in the city? If you wait long enough you'll witness a passing satellite as it slowly orbits the Earth.

But, there in the sky you see pure light. Like a candle, or a huge ball of burning flame, over eons that light had traveled through space and time to meet your eyes. Some of those stars have long been exstingished, died out, but the light remains. Light has power: the sun, the stars. Let pure light into your life.

We need the return of pure light. Think of yourself as a being of light. The light inside of you is so pure and when you let yourself love, and allow yourself to be loved, that light shines so bright that you glow. Just as bright as any star in the night sky.

And when you are bathing under the starlit sky, think of peace and let all your worries flow from you. Pick out a star in the sky and give it a special name. Send all of your negative feelings out into the light of that star and imagine the power of the light burning them away.

Return to light.

Return to innocence.
