The faculty also conduct a program called short semester, considering the facts below :
- To anticipate the velocity of economics development
- Increase high productivity in short time
- There is spare time (3 month) in transition of even semester to odd semester at next academic semester
- There is idle facility
- Use the spare time to decrease study time, and increase the GPA.

- The optimalization of spare time on holiday
- The employment market are more competitive in the quality and working age
- Planning for send student to study English abroad (home stay)

- Shorten study time
- Increase the Grade Prestation Accumulation (GPA).
General Objective
Short semester program has objective to give a chance to student to fix their grade and increase the quality of study.

- The benefit of GPA achievement for compete in the working market.
- Optimalisation of facility and academic and administrative worker.
- Reduce unproductive student activity during holiday.
- Reduce Drop Out Student.
The program benefit
This program intended to give double benefit to student and Economics Faculty Universitas Padjadjaran :
1. for student :
- accelerate study completion with reduce study time
- give a chance to fix the GPA
- accelerated student chance to enter to workfield
2. for Economics Faculty UNPAD

Study Process
To obtain those objective the course process implement as follow :
- The Student
- Student who have trouble to comply the course at the regular semester
- Student with grade less than A
- Course time
for diploma and graduate program:
- two months in the long holiday time before the beginning of odd semester.
- adjust with the spare time after one regular course time
Course Process
- the course implement in 8 weeks. Including test and holiday
- the course has directive with regular semester system.
- Maximum credit to be taken is 10 credits
- The minimum student is 20 persons.
- Student and lecture presence card, student list and final mark, final mark card, implement as like as regular semester
Implementation
- Implementation time:
This program implement one in a year for 2 months, that is when end of the academic year, (July until August)
- Course activity :
This program offer whole subject. Class meeting will be done for 16 times, 2 times a week, including midterm test and final test.
- condition term :
Every student have same right to attend the program. Maximum subject is three.
Registration and fee :
The student who want to follow this program, should be register at the administrative section, and the fee is Rp.35.000,- per credit.
Others :
This program is not an obligation to student. This program only for those who want to accelerated study time and fix their grade.
