Weapons (Used by NPCS)

*Note* Only NPC's can start with these weapons, BUT if you beat a NPC and you wish to take it, you pick a predetermined number, then roll a d(Number of people in your group that helped defeat it.) The number it lands on, is the person that gets it. 1 weapon per person (With the custom weapon, of course.)

Amakoi Halberd (AM-uh-koy HAL-bird)
This is a holy trident belonging to the Water Goddess, Suijin. It can be used to control the water, the weather above the water and turn things into foam. Suijin's size also depends on whether or not she is holding the trident. Without it, she is very small and can fit in your hand (she fell asleep on Kagome's hand once), but when she is holding it, she is regular size and stands about a foot taller than Kagome.

Banryu (BAN-ryoo)
This is an incredibly large sword used by Bankotsu, the leader of the Shichinintai. It doesn't even look like Bankotsu should be able to pick the Banryu up, but Bankotsu is able to and he uses it very easily with perfect technique. He adoringly calls his sword his 'aibou' meaning his 'partner' or his 'baby'.

Bow and Arrow
It doesn't take a genius to figure out how this weapon works It's a simple bow and arrow, however, when Kagome uses it, she fires purity arrows (Hama no Ya) thanks to her holy powers she inherited from Kikyo. Kikyo also has the ability to fire holy arrows and uses the Kyujitsu archery style. Kagome is seen using many differnt bows and arrows, seeing as she doesn't really have one of her own. Her and the Yasha gang will be on the way to deal with some demon when she spots a bow and grabs it up

Golem (GO-lim)
Golem and Kugutsu are almost the same thing. The golem is a small wooden doll that Naraku attaches a piece of his hair to. This creates a Kugutsu. I believe that every time we see a kugutsu, it is in the form of that strange monkey-suited Naraku. The only way to destroy a golem is by killing the immobile part or by hitting the heart of the doll.

Hair
Yura controls tons and tons of hair by wrapping it around her fingers and 'playing' cat's cradle with it. She could control people by attaching hairs to them and dancing them around like puppets. The hair is also very sharp and cut Kagome's cheek and hand and nearly decapitated Inuyasha. She also used as her hideout.. like a gigantic hairball

Hiraikotsu (he-RYE-kots)
Hirakotsu literally means 'flying bone' and Sango almost always uses it as her weapon. She made it from the bones of demons she's killed previously. It's a very heavy boomerang that she throws at the enemy. Smaller demons are sliced in half by it, although more powerful demons can just bat it away. Inuyasha used the Tetsusaiga to stop it from hitting him, once.

Katana (ka-TAH-nuh)
The katana is a sword used for combat. There's not much else to say. Plenty of people have used this including Sango, Koga, Ayame, etc.

Kusarikama (coo-SAH-ree-kah-mah)
The kusarikama is a chained sickle used by our one and only Kohaku. It's a very good weapon considering that Kohaku killed all of the best Exterminator's with it and plenty of helpless villagers, too. It would have even killed Sango, had Naraku not temporarily given her the Shikon shard.

Mirror
This is Kanna's weapon used to absorb souls. The only time she ever failed at absorbing an entire soul was with Kagome, whose soul was too big and cracked the mirror. Kanna also uses the mirror to reflect attacks. The first episode with her in it, her and Kagura tricked Inuyasha and Kanna reflected his Kaze no Kizu back at him, nearly killing the poor hanyou.

Ofuda
Ofuda strips of paper with various things written on them that allow Miroku to exorcise demons. He also uses them in a combined attack with his Shakujo which could/is potentially dangerous because it leaves a giant hole in the enemy's head.

Raigekijin
The 'blade of lightning' used by Hiten, a thunder demon. The raigekijin releases giant blasts of lightning which Inuyasha could only block by using his scabbard. It [the raigekijin] was eventually defeated when Inuyasha sliced it in half.

Saimyosho (sigh-MYO-show)
The saimyosho are poisonous demon wasps created by Naraku. They fly about and their main purpose is to poison Miroku if he should try to use his air void on Naraku or one of his kugutsu. They also serve as spies for Naraku and often carry him messages of the Yasha gang's whereabouts or what they are up to.

Shakujo (SHA-coo-jo)
The shakujo is a staff. An onlooker sees the staff and that tells them that the carrier [Miroku] is a monk. In anyone else's hands, the shakujo would be nothing more than a staff, but when Miroku uses it, it has many strong holy powers. He also uses it to smack people (i.e. Shippo, Inuyasha) on the head with.

Shinidama Chuu (SHIN-ee-dah-mah Choo)
The Shinidama Chuu are used by Kikyo to gather souls from the dead (although she can just snatch living people's souls, too.. but since Kikyo is/was a priestess, she doesn't usually do this). The gathered souls allow her to continue to walk on the earth even though she is dead.

Staff of Heads
This is used by everyone's favorite minion, Jaken. It has two heads on it, one of an old man, the other of a woman. It can detect the location of Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's father's grave and it can also spit fire. Later on, Jaken uses it, along with an ofuda, to create water. He also uses this to fend for himself, especially when Kagome comes along and tries to kick his butt. Kagome also got ahold of it once, and beat Jaken up with it, too.

Tenseiga (ten-SAY-guh)
Tenseiga is a sword that Sesshomaru inherited from his father. It has the ability to restore 100 people's lives with one swing. It's the exact opposite of Inuyasha's sword, the Tetsusaiga. Sesshomaru has used this sword, very *very* rarely, one time on a young girl named Rin.

Tetsusaiga (American - tets-SAI-gah // Japanese - tess-SAI-gah))
The Tetsusaiga is the sword that Inuyasha inherited from his father. It serves two main purposes. One is the attacks. With one swing Inuyasha can kill 100 demons/people. This is called the Kaze no Kizu (wind scar). When the two opposing winds (one belonging to Inuyasha, the other of the enemy) collide, they spot where the meet creates the Kaze no Kizu, and when Inuyasha slashes through it, he is able to slay 100 demons. He can also perform the Baku-ryu-ha with the Tetsusaiga. This works similar to the Kaze no Kizu, except it takes Inuyasha's wind/energy and the enemy's wind/energy and fires it back with a slash on the Kaze no Kizu (thus meaning, the more powerful the enemy, the more powerful the baku-ryu-ha). The other purpose of the Tetsusaiga is to keep Inuyasha from turning full youkai. Without the Tetsusaiga, the youkai blood would consume Inuyasha's mind and turn him evil (he almost killed Kagome a few times when in full youkai form). When just looking at the sword, it appears as a rusty piece of crap, but when Inuyasha is fighting to protect a human [Kagome, etc.] it transforms into a huge fang.

Tokijin (TOE-key-jin)
The tokijin is just all around evil. It was created by an ex-apprentice of Toutousai's, Kaijinbo. The sword was crafted out of the fang of a recently killed detachment of Naraku, Goshinki. Goshinki's fangs were used because Goshinki was able to bite the Tetsusaiga in half. When Kaijinbo held the tokijin, it possessed his body and eventually killed him.

Whip
This is a self-explanatory weapon used by Sesshomaru. It's mostly seen to keep his giant ogres in check, but we also see Sesshomaru use it to fight Inuyasha, I believe in their first fight.
