Vekmar
Irc name: Seta
Character name: Vekmar
Age: 14
Alignment: Evil
Race: Demon
Sub-Race: Demon
Race Abilities:
Shadowstep: Like his father, Vekmar is able to step into the darkness of the nether, and blink to another spot, within around thirty feet. The name may be misleading. He can do this wherever, but not whenever. Stepping into the nether can be dangerous, if done more than a few times in a day.
Demonic Wrath: Vekmar isn't exactly the coolest or most level-headed of demons. He's also not your average one, either. When he gets pulled into something, he gets pissed off easily. This strike is done through his right hand, and it can usually end in a broken skull. There's nothing more to it than being an extremely powerful blow from his fist.
Weapon: Tsuryuuha
This is a demon blade, forged for Vekmar by a very knowledgeble blacksmith from the lands to the North. His father demanded that a blade was made suitable for his son, who, he had hoped, would be able to carry on the legacy of his family.
Tsuryuuha carries a great amount of Youkai energy, because the souls of demons were forged into the blade to begin with. It is an extremely evil weapon. -- The sword itself is not very big, because it was forged for the small demon, Vekmar. The great blacksmith who forged it vowed that it would grow along side Vekmar.
Special 1: Senpuu no ken - It doesn't take a whole lot for Vekmar to initiate this ability. He finds himself a nice blast of wind to make use of, torrents it around his blade, and launches it forward at an opponent. As it moves about, it carries Youkai energy from the sword, and when it passes through or takes hold of a target, he is cut in many places simaltaneously..
Special 2: Teikiatsu Bakuha: Unlike the Senpuu no ken attack, this one is an amazingly useful attack, when in a battle with a powerful demon. Vekmar calls upon the spirits of the youkai within the blade, first and foremost. He then swings it around himself. The spirits begin to take a form all around his body. A cyclone of demonic nature appears. While it sounds like it would take a while, it actually is momentarily. When the cyclone is released, not only can it redirect a powerful attack in some other direction, the cyclone continues towards the one who sent the attack that was redirected. If the cyclone pulls the person into it, the youkai will maim the person in whatever way they can. This can only be used once a session, and the next time he goes demonic rage, its only at 50% power (this can stack, per transformation.)
Background:
Vekmar was birthed by a powerful lord and lady of the lands to the north. His father and mother were both extremely powerful Youkai. Their rule over the lands to the north was terrible, and absolute. Infact, humans that travelled in their territory were slaughtered by agents of the demon army they had raised. Vekmar, from day one, was taught by none other than his own father. He was treated like a prince, nobility. His heart became as cold as his mother and father's hearts. Things between the three of them progressed happily, or as happily as things within a demon family could be. Unfortunately, years later, a terrible demon with great power named Naraku stumbled upon their lands. Unknown to Vekmar or his parents, the demon army had formed a pact with Naraku, who was a spider demon, in order to obtain shards of the shikon jewel, which were kept untouched in the vault of the lord. There was a raid within the fortress. The traitors battled against the loyal royal guard, and the vassals of the demon lord. It ended bitterly. The traitors were wiped out, and the guard remained, but only them. That was when Naraku stepped in. He had weakened the hold considerably, and it wasn't long after he appeared, that Vekmar's parents were killed. In a final act of compassion for his son, Vekmar was sent out from the castle on a demon bird. The bird flew him southeast, but was eventually shot down by an infantry squad of some human army. Vekmar was left to fend for himself. Fortunately for him, only a month before the happenings, Vekmar's proud father had announced that years ago, he had called for a demon blade to be forged for his prodigy, his son; and that it was completed. Vekmar was presented with this blade.
He fended for himself in the middle of no where. He unlocked things within himself that he had never even dreamed of; not to mention, he fed his evil nature by slaughtering countless humans and demons that stood in his way.
It was actually fairly hard to tell Vekmar apart from a human boy, asides from his lacking of certain features, and the red eyes he had. His strange clothing also gave him away. He was hunted numerous times, which all proved to be failures. It didn't matter to him that his parents had been slain by Naraku. He didn't want revenge; all he wanted was to get stronger, so he could return to the lands in which he was born, regain them, and reclaim the throne for himself.
