Logan was bit by a tick in June on his private area & it swelled up really bad, I took him to the hospital & the ER Dr. put him on an antibiotic, Well it finally went down after 2 weeks, but a week later (July 21st 2006) Logan's Lymph nodes on
his neck started to swell... I took him to the ER again and the ER Dr. said it was from an infection in his teeth, and put him on the same antibiotic again... 3 Days (July 24th 2006) later I took Logan to His Pediatrician, and She took him off the Antibiotic the ER put him on and put him on a better one... She told me that
If Logan's lymph nodes didn't go down in a week then I needed to call her so they could set up an appt. for him at the ER to have blood work done...
Well 4 Days after his ped. put him on the antibiotic, his neck had swollen worse... I called his Dr. and she ordered his blood work that day (July 27th 2006)
He had 15 cc's drawn & for a 33 lb child they said that could be risky. (But, everything went okay).. The 6 Blood tests that the Dr. Requested were, A CRC (Check the Blood level), Blood Colture, 4 Titers test (1 For Mono, 1 for a disease that a cat carries that can be spread to children, 1 for All Diseases, and 1 for a Tick Carrying Disease) ....
Well, on Saturday (July 29th 2006) I called Logan's Dr.'s nurse and she said that the CRC had came back and the level of his blood was excellent... It's suppose to be above 12 and Logan's is 13... I am happy about that...
I am now waiting for the Dr. to call me today (July 31st 2006) For the Results of the Rest of the Blood tests....
