| Am I the only Christian who remembers the character of Jesus? I sincerely hope not! Jesus told the woman at the well about all her five secret affairs and then what did He do? He sent her out to PREACH! Jesus stopped the harlot from being stoned to death by telling the crowd "let him who is without sin cast the first stone"; and noone from the oldest to the youngest could throw one stone at the woman. Then Jesus forgave her of her sins and set her free! Jesus stood before the demon possessed wild man in the graveyard and delivered a legion of demons out of the man and into a bunch of pigs! Then, he healed the man and gave him a clean mind and sent him home whole after twenty years of possession. Jesus interacted with publicans, harlots, scribes, sadducees and samaratans; and, he did good and preached GOOD NEWS among the sinners, working miracles in their midst. Jesus raised the dead (whether they were jew or not), healed the sick, made the blind to see and delivered all from their bondages. And this was 'before' the gentiles could 'be' saved because it was before His death and ressurection. Jesus never condemned anyone (jew or greek) and He DID GOOD to the lost, and taught of His LOVE! People who are BOUND by Satan's power into some sort of sin can only look to Jesus to be released and set free. Now that Jesus is with the Father, we are Jesus's mouth, hands and feet here on Earth. It is His Church who should follow Jesus's example and COMMANDS to do what Jesus did for ALL men. John 14:12 says, "...and Greater things than I did will you do, because I go to the Father". Jesus is the ONLY person who has authority to judge another man; and the time for that has NOT come yet. Jesus told His disciples to heal the sick, cast out devils (which hold people in bondage), and even raise the dead in His name. The problem comes in when Jesus's Church either has no knowledge of His Word or no 'faith' to believe ALL of the GOSPEL. The label 'Christian' means to be under the same anointing as Jesus, doing similar or greater things than Jesus did under His anointing because His Word commands that we do so! We get this anointing through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with POWER, which was spoken of in Acts on Pentacost and in the gospel of John, speaking about sending us an advocate or a comforter. This little gay man haunts my soul. My love and Jesus's love coming through me bring great compassion for him. He wanted to do right; he just couldn't without the Power! I want to tell him that Jesus did save him when he asked for forgiveness. Jesus did send Power down from the heavenlies to this broken man to heal him (body, mind and spirit). I would never tell a man who believes he is |
