| What about those Dinosaurs?
First lets look at dinosaurs and the Bible. Some of the most common questions about dinosaurs are where did they come from? Did they evolve? Did they live millions of years ago? What happened to them? Ace there any living dinosaurs today? The answer to did they really live is yes, dinosaurs did roam the earth in the ancient past. We have as you know found many fossils which are displayed in museums all over the world. Many of the skeletons have been reconstructed so we know a lot about what they looked like. Where did Dinosaurs come from? Evolutionists will say that dinosaurs evolved over millions of years. They think that one kind of animal slowly became another kind over time. For example: Evolutionists believe that amphibians evolved into reptiles. They call the changes in each species transitional forms. So if they are right there should be all kinds, in fact, millions of transitional forms all over the earth showing how the animals evolved from one kind of animal into another. But guess what? There has never been one single unquestionable transitional form ever found anywhere on earth. If dinosaurs did evolve from amphibians, there should be all kinds of fossils showing how those transitions took place. But we do not have a single fossil that is either 25%, 50% 75%, or even 99% dinosaur. They are all 100% dinosaurs. So if that is the case how did they get here? In Genesis 1:24-31, all land animals (even dinosaurs) were created by God on the 6 days of creation along with man. They were created fully functional, and not of one thing and of another. Evolutionists say that dinosaurs lived at a different time than man. But the Bible says differently. The Bible says that both man and dinosaurs lived at the same time and there is a lot of evidence for this in the fossil record. Why do we have fossils? In Gen 6:12 we are told that mans sinfulness got worse and worse and finally God had to do something about it. So he spoke to a man named Noah, a Godly man, and told him he was going to destroy the earth by a flood (6:13). He instructed Noah to build a huge boat called an Ark so that the different kinds of land animals (including dinosaurs) and Noahs family could survive the flood. Some people think that the dinosaurs were to big to fit on the Ark. But there are and were then not that many different kinds of dinosaurs. It is true that we have hundreds of dinosaur names. but many of those names were given to just a bit of bone or skeleton of the same kind of dinosaurs found in other countries. So God sent 2 of every land animal (and 7 of some) to the Ark (Genesis 7:2-3). There were no exceptions. Therefore dinosaurs must have been on the Ark. How did they fit? We dont know for sure, but if God sent them they must have been small enough to fit in the Ark and small enough to get off at the end of the flood time (over 1 year). So what happened to all the other animals? Simple, they drowned. What does this have to do with fossils? As the flood waters rose and the rain came down and the tons of mud and rocks that were forced up (Genesis 7:11) very quickly by the raising waters and the earth breaking p the animals would have been buried very quickly and as a result preserved as fossils if this happened, there should be evidence of billions of dead things buried in the rock layers all over the earth. Right? Guess what? That is exactly what we find Thats how we got the fossils we have today. So if the different kinds of dinosaurs survived the flood! then they must have come off the ark. In addition to this, you were or probably will be told in school that there is no evidence of dinosaurs present with man. But we do in fact have lots of evidence that they lived together. For instance in Talaverdy, Texas we have pictures of human and dinosaur foot prints in the same level of rock together in the Taleverdy river. Evolutionists have purposely left this out of their writings to keep from destroying their theory that dinosaurs and man did not live together. There are lots of other things like this that they will not tell you, but the evidence is there. Not only that we have descriptions of living dinosaurs like Brachiosaurs in the Bible (Job 40:15-24). How could we have those descriptions if Job didnt see them at the time he was alive? Evolutionists will tell you that the dinosaurs died out millions of years ago. There are lots of theories as to how this happened for example: They starved to death; they died from overeating; they were poisoned; they became blind from cataracts and could not reproduce, mammals ate their eggs; volcanic dust killed them; constipation; parasites; their brains shrunk; slipped discs meteors hitting the earth, all kinds of stupid ideas. What you have to remember is that no matter how much evidence is found or how embarrassing it is, Evolutionists will always produce some excuse to keep their belief alive because they do not want to admit that God is part of the creation picture. If they did they would have to quit believing in evolution. The best evidence we have today, points to a sudden and quick end of most of the dinosaurs like a world wide flood, not a slow extinction over millions of years. |
