Science has changed its mind so often on this subject that if you go back just 50 years and look at science books you will see that at one time biologists said that the earth was one billion years old. They have since in recent years upped that to 4-5 billion years old. Some have even proposed 20+ billion years. Why do they keep changing? Because the evidence against them keeps mounting and the only way they can keep the hypothesis of evolution alive, is by adding more time and chance.
Time and chance are the buzz words in evolution. Given enough time and chance, they believe life could accidentally come about. But the problem for them will not go away because eventually they will all have to answer one question; Who made life in the beginning? What about radio carbon (14) dating? Doesn�t that show that dinosaur bones are millions of years old? Not at all. Radio carbon dating is not nearly as accurate as they want you to think. You see, radio carbon dating is based on something called �uniformatarianism.� This big word means that all things deteriorate at the same rate at the same time. So if all things are made of carbon, and carbon in bones is released over time at the same rate all the time, then we should be able to show that if we can measure the amount of carbon in a bone we can tell how old it is by the amount of carbon that is missing.
But, guess what? Uniformatarianism doesn�t work. It does not take into account that carbon is released at different rates for different materials and in different conditions.
Do you remember hearing about a volcanic eruption in Washington State in 1980 called Mt. Saint Helens? After the eruption, scientists went into the area to measure the date of rocks thrown from the volcano. Guess what they found? When the rocks, formed from the magma thrown out by the volcano, were dated with carbon 14 dating, they were told that the rocks were millions of years old. The only problem was that the rocks had only formed just 20 years before. So how could they be extremely old when they just became rocks a few years before?
The problem is that carbon 14 dating does not take into account the thousands and thousands of catastrophes that happen year in and year out. Catastrophes like volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, tsunamis, fires, lightning, etc, all change the amount of carbon in material when that material encounters those catastrophes. Carbon is not released uniformly. So radio carbon dating is only good for a very few types of material and it never shows those materials to be more than thousands of years old.
Scientists have never developed a reliable technique to test whether anything is billions of years old. The oldest fossils to date, are about 6000 years old.
Aren�t there are many examples of evolution in the fossil record?
Transitional forms or fossils sometimes called missing links are necessary to prove
evolution. Darwin himself, who never found any missing links, said that �unless these links are found, evolution is nothing more than useless speculation He hoped that others after him would find them, but have they found any missing links?
Well, not a single intermediate fossil has ever been found. With all the digging and excavation that has been done around the world, not one single intermediate fossil that demonstrates evolution has ever been found. Every time the claim is made that something has been found that proves a missing link, it has been proven that what was found was already part of a complete species and not an intermediate link at all. So because of this, evolutionists have come up with another theory about evolution called:
Punctuated Equilibrium; This means that Evolution is stable for long periods of time, so that new species suddenly come into being, and others immediately become extinct. The problem with this view is again that there is no record in the fossils that any type of animal ever became another type of animal.
One scientist, Richard B. Goldsmith got so desperate to defend evolution that he came up with the �hopeful monster theory� which says, a reptile laid and egg and a bird crawled out.
The truth is, there are no examples of evolution in the fossil record, only complete species.
