From the desk of the IWF Firstly, the IWF would like to thank all managers for their input in regard to our questionaires. All opinions were carefully weighed. The overwhelming majority concensus seems to be that managers want the current IWF system to remain intact. Meaning, most managers want the system with how major titles are determined to remain the same. As far as opinion goes on the role that the tag/6 man holds should have on matches, opinion seems to be split almost directly down the middle. Some managers feel the tag/6 holds should be eliminated altogether, while others feel that the tag/6 holds should be the ONLY measure of how Tag/6 Matches are won, and thus, the staggering of singles holds would not even be needed. Currently, the only purpose the tag/6 holds have on a match is to try and beat an opposing team by 4 straight holds out of the 7 tag/6 holds you pick, which would end the match before the staggering of your singles holds, and overall tag/6 team strategy total points is added up. We will have a decision on this next cycle. Also, we are currently weighing all of the questionaire responses we have gotten from last cycle. In addition, in overwhelming fashion, managers have expressed a great interest in plaques. The IWF is pleased to announce that we are currently working out a deal with a nearby plaque company, and that plaques are on the way. Initially, plaques will be awarded for World Singles Champs. The large plaque can be taken as a substitute for the 25 free matches The World Champ usually gets, once the agreement goes through. However, the manager will have the choice. As the IWF grows and grows, plaques will be distributed for other major titles, as well. Right now we are also looking into the venture of advertisement in a wrestling magazine. Onto other matters. Many managers have expressed interest in having Tag and 6 Man teams ranked within leagues, like the singles wrestlers are ranked. Well, as you know, what you want is what you get in the IWF! So next cycle, tag and 6 Man team rankings will be an added feature in leagues. Last cycle we announced that stable rankings are on their way. We at the IWF, would like your suggestions on how a point system should work for ranking stables throughout the IWF. As you know, managers often jump from stable to stable, so how would you distribute points per stable in that event? Please send us suggestions. Since the IWF is coming up to its 1 year anniversary in August, it may be best to hold off on officially ranking stables until year two officially kicks off, since it is a complicated process. To commemmoate the anniversary, in the August cycle, we will have the first ever IWF-Wide Pay-Per-View event, as well as yearly awards. Look for more info. on this event soon. For those of you guys with computer access, you can email me for IWF info. at [email protected], and check out and refer friends to our new IWF website at members.aol.com/crushercd/IWF.html A special thanks to Chris Dutschmann for a great job on it!
