From the desk of the IWF
The first thing well do is give out the ratings shares for this cycle:
CPW: 4.3 USW: 3.7 HMW: 4.1 STW: 5.2 LVW: 2.0
If you take pride in your league, be as active as possible! Ratings shares are now projected by total matches taken. On a side note, the IWF would like to remind you that it is easier for us to accept emailed comments/reports if you have computer access. We can be reached at [email protected]. \if you are going to send in hand-written or typed comments, please, no more than 2 or 3 full pages per manager to make sure all your comments are printed. If emailed, send as much as ya like. Moving on....STABLE WARS! It has arrived! Last year we had a lot fun with this and we feel this time will be no different! In the end, only one stable will prove its supremacy over everyone else! Talk about bragging rights! Here is how it works. Stables will face off, head-to-head, in 7 matches: 5 singles matches, 1 tag team match, 1 six-man match. The stable that wins at least 4 out of those 7 matches, advances to the next round. It is up to you and your stable to determine which wrestlers represent your group. Additionally, you must have 3 different wrestlers represent your singles competitors! It is $1 per wrestler or team and again, it is up to you or your stable to determine who pays for that. The competition will be single elimination, meaning lose and go home, win and advance. You can register by sending appropriate payment and information to IWF c/o Stable Wars, PO Box 541132, Flushing, NY 11354. The deadline for all entries is the end of IWF Cycle #40, as first round match-ups will be listed in the Monthly Report of Cycle #41. Last Monthly Report we inadvertently said the deadline for entries was the end of Cycle #39, and it is really the end of cycle #40. Stable Wars is not the only contest right around the corner. The second annual IWF-Wide Tag God Tournament is back! It is $1 per team and a maximum of 2 teams per managed can be entered. The deadline for entry in this tournament is the end of IWF Cycle #41. The competition will be single elimination and take several cycles to complete, like Stable Wars. You can register your team(s) by sending in on a separate sheet of paper with your league(s). Make sure you specify what team(s) you are signing up. Next subject: new titles! Those in CPW and HMW may have seen we added rookie titles to those respectful leagues. Next on the agenda is the addition of a ladies title to each league, so guys, start creating some female wrestlers! Once we see enough female grapplers, the ladies titles will be added. In the meantime, feel free to go after the regular mens titles with your ladies wrestlers! Finally, the IWF would like to thank long-time IWF manager Evil Eli (Mr. Whitney Smith), for his loyalty and devotion to the IWF. Eli, who had been an IWF mainstay since we opened in 1997, has since moved on to a successful political career. We want to use this space to highlight his storied IWF career, so here goes:
The IWF announces that Evil Eli is retiring from fantasy sports. He was one of the toughest, classiest, and most consistent managers in the IWF for over three years. During his tenure he pulled 23 Heavyweight Titles, 20 Jr. Heavyweight Titles, 68 Regional Titles, 26 tag titles, 20 6-Man titles, and 27 battle royal victories. He made the IWF Report with 3 World Titles, 5 Intercontinental Titles, 2 Global Titles, 2 World Tag Titles, 4 World 6-Man Titles, 16 IWF-Wide Regional Titles, 6 Division Titles, and 5 Ultimate Royal Championships. The only manager who has accomplished more since day one is Nathan Couch. Eli, you will be missed. Good luck!
