From the desk of the IWF Wed like to announce that the drawing to determine which lucky manager would win 6 months of IWF for free, was recently conducted. We would like to congratulate Matt Reynolds, who proved to not only be good this month, but also lucky, by winning this contest. We will be having the 6 Months Free Contest again in several months so dont forget to tell your friends that by joining the IWF they are entered. Now, as everyone knows, the DVW closed recently. With it closing, wrestlers from the DVW have transfered into other leagues. Please do not be alarmed if you see a wrestler pop up in your league with a huge record. While we have allowed DVW wrestlers to leave their records in tact, their point ranking totals reflect ONLY their accomplishments here in the IWF. In other news, we urge managers to come to Mexican Luchador Wrestling (MLW) because we dont want it to suffer the same fate that DVW did. A couple of cycles ago we eluded to there being a Stable Wars competition and that will happen shortly, but first we would like to announce the first ever IWF-Wide Singles Tournament! Each manager will be allowed to enlist 4 wrestlers in the tournament at $1 apiece. Once we have the print-out of wrestlers submitted for the tournament, we will anounce first round matches right here in the IWF Monthly and match results as they happen each cycle. Depending on how many entrants there are, we could be looking at anywhere from a 4-6 round single elimination tournament, that would in turn, take 4 -6 cycles to complete. Just imagine the bragging rights to winning this tournament! No one can claim youre lucky because youll have to be consistent to win it. There WILL be interleague play in this tournament since it is conceivable that a wrestler from CPW for example, could face a wrestler from STW. If you would like to enroll in this tournament, all you have to do is send $1 for each of your entrants to IWF c/o King of the IWF Tournament, or send it in with one of your leagues. Make sure to list your wrestler(s) name(s) and what leagues they are in. The deadline for enrollment will be the end of cycle #18 because first round matches will be printed in IWF Monthly #19. Thats about it for this month. Take care everyone!
