From the desk of the IWF The IWF is very excited with the 1 year anniversary Pay-Per-View event forthcoming. There has been a nice response for it and all managers who have sent in matches for it, will receive a huge description of the event, with angles, and so much more, in newsletter type form, after cycle #12 is completed. Last cycle we eluded to the fact that the manager and wrestler of the year would be awarded prizes. Well, 50 free matches will be awarded to both the manager and wrestler of the year, respectively. The final yearly rankings will be in next cycles monthly report, and we also plan to have a special section where we rank other other facets of the game, such as Tag/6 Man Team of the Year, etc. There will be some sort of system used to determine these winners. It will be like the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Year In Review. We are also interested in your thoughts on the first year of the IWF. Therefore, we ask you to vote on the following, and send in your votes with this cycles matches. Voting will determine the outcomes of these categories and please, try to be impartial. Remember, you are voting on YEARLY awards here (top 3 in each category). It makes the game more fun:
1) Most Hated Manager
2) Most Popular Manager
3) Best Stable
4) Best Trash Talker
5) Best Character/Angle Based (Role Playing) Manager
6) Manager who improved the most as the year went on
7) Manager You Would Look For Great Things From Based On Progress Over The First Year
8) Manager You Respect The Most
9) Best League
10) Toughest Manager You Have Gone Head To Head Against
11) Feud of The Year (can be manager vs. manager, stable vs.stable, or even manager vs. stable)
Please note that you may do special write-ins and vote for categories not listed above. You may also either email us or snail mail us your votes with your matches. This should be a lot of fun and put the capper on a great first year! Remember, in IWFs year 2, our new stable rankings system will be immediately put into affect. We will announce how the system works in the coming weeks. Many managers have been asking us when Mexican Luchador Wrestling (MLW) will be opened. The answer is the October Cycle (2 cycles from now.) It will appropriately be in the Continental Division. If you would like to join the MLW, you may start doing so and we will file your requests. You may either create wrestlers free of charge, as always, or transfer existing wrestlers there for $1. Please make sure to include your strategies for your wrestlers, and his matches (choose from the 18 drones in the leagues debut bulletin). Titles will be awarded in MLW #1 based solely on strategy total. In other news, it has come to our attention that as of late, inactive wrestlers have gotten very fortunate and been winning Heavyweight Titles, via their automatic top 5 ranking shot. While it is unfair to penalize an inactive wrestler who holds a title on a given cycle, we also feel it is unfair to the active managers to reward inactive wrestlers ranked in the top 5 with automatic shots. Therefore, inactive title holders will still get shots at the Heavyweight Champion in the stepladder format, but inactive top 5 ranked wrestlers will forfeit their Heavyweight Title shots. This should prove to be fair for all. Look for our ad in Pro Wrestling-All Stars at any time now. Even without the ad, we have been extremely pleased with the influx of new managers into the game, especially of late. One final thing. It is always easier for us when comments/reports are emailed to us. However, if you cant, please continue to send comments via snail mail.
