the IWF? 2. How does the WHW
Function? 3. Sounds great. How do I
get involved? 4. Okay. I'm in the
league. Now how do I roleplay?
1. What is the IWF?Welcome to the IWF. IWF stands for Internet Wrestling Federation, in reference to where we came from. However more on that later. IWF is amongst the best e-wrestling federations in the world. We're proud to be considered that, and we hope that you enjoy reading our cards, and hopefully joining us when the time comes. 1.1 What is E-Wrestling?E-Wrestling is a play-by-web site game, in which dozens of people from all over the world converge into federations. These federations are usually run by one or more people who have been in the game for a long while, and know most of the ins and outs of the sport. Do they have to be avid wrestling fans? No, but a love of the sport and showing of some pride in your work is essential for having fun while playing the game. 1.2 What is the IWF?We are a E-wrestling federation that is run on a web page, and roleplaying boards, not e-mail. 1.3 History Of the IWF?Well, before IWF Stan King, AKA The Boss, Owned the EAWF. He then later closed down to become an ewrestler in the IWF, then run by The Brick, and Blunt Man. They shut down, then The Boss took over, and has been running it ever since. 2. How does IWF Function? This section is going to cover a variety of topics, from types of E-Feds, to how the IWF is run, and even which people are in charge of the IWF at this current time. 2.1 What types of E-Feds are there? In this game, there are three major types of
E-Wrestling Federations. For all intents and purposes, the three
types of E-Fed are Simmed, Booked based on Roleplays (RPs), and
Booked based on Staff decision. 2.2 What type of federation is the IWF?The IWF is a booked by Roleplays and Staff E-Fed. We take both angles and roleplays and combine them. 2.3 Who runs the IWF?Right now, the IWF's Owners include The Boss, and Sean Logan. Vice Presidnent Logan Gaines that join the owners on the staff. Also, the writers of the matches join the above mentioned three in helping the league run smoothly. Decisions are made by a committee, their decisions are well though-out and make sense. 3. Sounds Great. How do I get involved?Okay, so you've read through our cards on the web page. You've listened to the hotline and have heard all the hot rumors. Now you want to get involved. This section will help you. Here, we will explain how to get in the middle of all the IWF Action. We will also explain the ways in which you can go about getting an application. 3.1 How do I join the mailing list? The Mailing list coming soon. 3.2 I'm ready to join. Where can I get an app?If you want an application just click here. We advise that you read this over before applying, to get more information about how to go about creating a wrestler, and so on. 4. Okay, I'm in the IWF. How can I roleplay?Great! Congratulations for joining the IWF. We're sure you'll enjoy it. This section of the FAQ will tell you about how to Roleplay, what types of Roleplays there are, and other bits of information such as that. 4.1 I'm used to TNM leagues. What's a roleplay?A roleplay is an interview for your character that helps to get you over (more popular or more hated) with the fans. These are posted on the IWF Forums. There are alot of different types of roleplays that we have in IWF 4.1.1 FlashesA Flash is described as your wrestler in a non-arena area, talking about his next match. This type of roleplay is effective if you're trying to get a point across about a certain type of match you may be having, or it may help establish your wrestler's character. 4.1.2 InterviewsAn Interview takes place in the back of the arena, usually just before your match occurs. The interviewers in IWF are Mark Madden, Martin Brown and Kali Miller. PThese members have their own picture in the staff area. 4.1.3 In-RingsThese are interviews along the lines of what you
see in the WWE. An interviewer is in the ring, and introduces his
next guest. Full Entrance and whatnot are used here. The rest of
the interview progresses along the lines of a pre-match interview
as explained above. Use these when you're not wrestling, but you
really want to get 4.1.4 StratsSometimes, the most effective roleplays are the
ones that are never seen on the show. Strats is short-hand for 4.2 Okay. There's a loser I want to fight. How do I get at them?Good Question, well, you get in touch with either of the owners and tell them "Hey, I'd like to have a match with <Wrestler's Name>". they will schedule the match for sometime down the line, and you can always tell if you got the match by asking The Boss/Sean Logan or by looking at the matches on the next card. 4.3 How am I going to work an angle.Another really good question. What you do is get in touch with the wrestler you want to be in the angle with (use the roster page) and mail him, talking about the angle you want to run. Bang out the details in email, then get in touch with the owners and tell them about the angle. 4.4 What makes a good Roleplay?A Good Roleplay is described as something that helps your character get more attention without breaking the general rules of roleplaying. Those are, do not use another wrestler in your roleplay without his express written permission, or if it's part of an angle. Do not curse!!! (This is a big one. Beyond the scope of "ass" and "bitch", you never see much cursing in the "real" feds). and never strike an announcer or fan. You will be suspended for such crap.
4.5 When's my match?Look at upcoming cards in the cards section. If you want a match go to the challenge board and start challenging. 4.6 Where can I go for roleplaying help?ask the owners, they are usually on AIM. 4.7 Whoa! It's PPV Time! How do I get on the card?Well, you have to be good enough, being one of the best of the best, or you have to be in a good angle that you want to come to a head. Usually, we have a good idea of what matches will headline, but that should NOT stop you from trying. You should bust your butt to be on the PPV! This is what you all work for. And a PPV Win could quite possibly push you towards the IWF Championships!!!! REMEMBER TO CHECK DIVISIONS, THE HIGHER PLACED PEOPLE WILL GET MORE MATCHES! 4.8 What if I want to strat for the PPV?Get it in about a week and a half before the PPV so that we can get it to the writer so they can make it happen. 5. Anything Else?5.1 Who do I talk to when I have a question?Talk to The Boss and Sean Logan. Both will provide you good answers to your questions, if you explain what you want to know in detail. If you want to comment on your wrestler's record, please don't come to us complaining about losing. Ask why you lost, and we'll try our best to give you advice on how to improve. |
