Global Assembly - Advancing the Human Right to Health
University of Iowa, Iowa City

Organized by the UI Global Health Studies Program and the UI Center for Human Rights, the assembly will advance the core human rights concept, "Right to Health." Speakers, expo, book sale, and networking. Watch for registration materials.

Human Rights and Trade
Iowa United Nations Association Annual Assembly
1:00-5:00 p.m., Coral Ridge Mall Community Room, Coralville

Local actions and trade issues will be the topic at the Annual Assembly of the Iowa UNA to be held in April. Representatives from the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights, the Labor Center, and the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Studies will talk about the work they are doing here in Iowa in relation to international trade issues. Students will relate examples of how local choices can influence international conditions. The Annual Assembly is also the business meeting of the Iowa UNA where members provide input to program initiatives. Watch for a special brochure coming in early April.
