IWA closes it's doors, makes way for the SWA

The International Wrestling Alliance put on its final show on September 21st, 2002. After a successful run working with the GCW, LWF, and WaR, the promotion merged with GCW to form the new Southern Wrestling Alliance. The first TV taping for the new promotion will take place Saturday September 28th in Gladewater Texas, starting at 2 PM Central Time. On that day 16 of the top SWA superstars will take part in a tournament to determine the Southern Heavyweight Champion, and 8 of the top cruiserweights will take place in a unique ladder match/battle royal. All of the SWA superstars will be available for pictures and autographs before and after the tapings, so kids, be sure to bring your pen, paper, and camera. Admission is free, so come on out and support the stars of the SWA!
