If you have never logged into the old egroups, click on new user. {you will see:}

People who were accustomed to logging into egroups should click on link accounts or use the conversion wizard {address is
http://groups.yahoo.com/convwiz}.
Enter your email address and password just like old times.

You will then be prompted to convert to a Yahoo!Id and Password {this is the hard part folks}

After you get your new id and password, you will be asked to fill out profile information. The amount you provide is between you and Yahoo!. If memory serves me correctly, you have to provide a name and birth date {users under 18 have to provide parental permission}. At the bottom of the profile is a list of interests you can check or not. However, be warned, they will send you newsletters and such unless you tell them not to.
